Once I got it figured out, it works great!

Didn’t come with any documentation and device is not simple plug and play, so had to do some research. Zebra acquired Motorola solutions and handles the scanner lines, but the software that was supposed to connect the scanner to my pc not only didn’t work, it actually made the scanner stop working. Unplugging and replugging in made it come on long enough to scan the Reset to Default code so the scanner would come on again, so I kept looking. Finally ran across the LS2208 quickstart guide, which after blowing up the barcodes large enough to get picked up, was able to set it up to do what I needed, which was simple data entry keyboard emulation. So, it was a bit of a hair-puller initially, and Zebra won’t offer ANY customer support since it’s an old unit out of warranty date, but now that it’s going, it’s fast, efficient, and I know they are sturdy units from past experience, it’s just my first time having to set one up.
