Worth it for the brushes alone!

My main reason for buying this selection of palette and brushes, was to have a go at contouring. I bought a powder concealing kit from superdrug, but I really didn’t like how it applied to my skin. I am a newbie at contouring so I can’t give you a professionals account or a comparison to more high street contouring kits. What attracted me to this was that it came in an all in one kit, a massive selection of brushes and a full colour palette with a huge selection of shades. Really seemed liked excellent value for money for a newbie.

Because of the low prices, I had thought the brushes would be a low quality. I have used ‘wooden’ brushes before that are a bit cheap. You will be pleased to know that these brushes are gorgeous! They have a lovely honey colour finish that do not feel cheap in the hand in any way. I would be thrilled to get these as a gift.
The brush parts (hairs?) are extremely luxurious, its like petting a rabbit or a kitten. Soft and gentle on your skin. I love how they are two tone in colour, with white tips.
The colour palette is small, you will see from the photo (i used 1 penny in the photo) but each colour is about the size of a 2p coin. So this will make a great beginners set, for testing and trying, but I don’t see it lasting a really long time. One the plus side, using the brushes, you only use a tiny amount.
The product itself applies much better than a powder, however as a beginner, I wouldn’t dare to show you a picture! I have a very fair complexion so I haven’t used the darker tones yet, but I am happy that the lighter ones blend together well. I must say that these don’t last me the whole day, but then i haven’t used a fixing spray. Additionally, my makeup doesn’t usually last the entire day either.

I thought the bag that came with was cheap and tacky, and was the only part of the product that I wouldn’t be happy to give as a gift. If you by this for someone, pick up a proper little make up bag. They will love it. I really do rec
