Very impressed with this phone for the price.

bought this phone for my wife when her other phone recently died. I did not want to pay $300+ again for a smart phone that can easily be broken or lost. A lot of money to blow on something so small. I didn’t need all the latest greatest features, but a phone that was relatively new with an up to date OS, a decent size and screen and a decent camera.

When I found this phone on Amazon I had never heard of BLU, and I figured it was some cheap Chinese company, but after reading the specs of the phone, I figured for a sub $125 phone what do I have to lose? After I purchased the phone on Amazon I did some more research on BLU and was shocked to learn they are an American company! They have been around since 2009 and have made many many different phones.

The phone arrived within 24 hours of ordering it, free shipping, incredible!! After unboxing the phone today with my wife, I have been extremely impressed with the quality of the device for the price. They even included a screen protector and a slip on silicon case to protect the phone. Also came with a typical usb charger and a set of headphones with android control and removable battery. I haven’t tested the headphones yet but, still impressive to include all this with such a low cost phone.

After spending $130 recently on a new moto E phone that is much older and lower quality, the experience between the two companies was night and day.

I will be paying much more attention to this BLU company in the future. I listen to a technology show regularly (twit.tv) and consider myself very informed on technology/smartphones, but not once have I heard them talk about this company which I find shocking! I had heard very little about this company. I would recommend ignoring many of the so called “experts” out there and do you own research. There is a lot of snobery in the smartphone industry right now. If you are happy spending $800+ on a phone go for it, but I sure felt like a dope after spending that much on my last
