Loved this Movie. Very Interesting Plot.

I recently reordered this movie after not watching it for a long time. I was telling me teen son about it after watching SelfLess (Ryan Reynolds) as certain plot points had similarities and I was reminded how much I loved this flick. Limitless is a very cool movie with Bradley Cooper as the main protagonist. In it, he portrays a writer suffering from writer’s block, and who is being dumped by his long-term girlfriend (Cornish) after she basically tells him he’s a broke bum who isn’t going anywhere in life. After a chance meeting with his ex brother-in-law, he comes to learn of a new pharmaceutical drug known for “performance enhancement,” and decides to try it out. It works, oh boy does it work! And the drug makes him “limitless.”

Cooper’s mind begins rapidly expanding, and it is then he meets DeNiro’s character; a big-wig, money thumper. The dialogue between these two becomes rather funny towards the end. I can’t say much about the inbetween without giving too much away.

This is a very interesting concept, especially as it teeters on the borderline of inappropriate drug use vs appropriate drug use and benefit vs detriment; but also it’s really fun to see how amazing the brain opens up when Cooper is using.

Wouldn’t we all love to function at our highest capacity?
