The situation the mid-nineteen seventies and nineteen-year-aged Robin’s life has befall somewhat derailed. She’s been hurled out of school for dealing preserve, her dad’s not speaking to her, this woman lives alone, succeeds in a resident diner, and is slumbering with an aged friend from anticyclone school. I interpret this story in binary huge self-indulgent blobs. Robin would not let me put this book consume. Despite many periods separating us, I could immediately interact to her, and as the story unfolded, I started to feel very defensive of her.
Robin’s voice ties the reader in, and much of the conversation is interspersed with her witty or heartfelt asides. The author perfectly captures the atmospheres of a young woman who is little lost, unconvinced of the way ahead, forlorn, and very naïve.
The story is powered forward by Robin’s hang-up relationships with her family, her steady, her upstairs neighbor, and the selves this woman meets at work. These supporting natures are as vivid as Robin. The binary that interest me the most are her protect and her steady, and I’d love to escort them developed beyond in another book.
The mid-seventies hardening feels authentic, and Robin’s reflections about how much simpler life would be if this woman produced a portable phone are a magnificent touch.
A fulfilling interpret for anyone who came of age a while ago, and for those who have yet to do so.
